The Four Energies Couple Retreat, facilitated by Kerstin van Eckert and Rhys Photis, offer couples an opportunity to deeply connect with oneself and their partner.
Having worked in coaching, leadership, and effective communication for corporations, Kerstin and Rhys have decided to take what they love doing – working with people – and connecting that with their passion for holistic, conscious living and regenerative farming in the beautiful region of Alentejo.

“Our energies are the only resource we can actively influence,
and by developing all four areas we can share a fuller and happier life.”

Tony Schwartz, International Sports Coach

By working with our Four Energies, we can create a more balanced, energised and fulfilled life in partnership.

Bringing their learnings from their own personal experiences together as a couple by using the pillars of the Four Energies concept, Kerstin and Rhys offer an experiential weekend for you and your partner. You will be guided through exercises to develop the Four Energies within;

Physical energy is the ability and strength to do active physical things and the feeling that you are full of physical power and life. We focus on the heart, brain, lungs and general well-being in order to strengthen one’s vigour.

Mental energy is the ability and willingness to engage in personal growth. It has not only to do with mood, cognition, and motivations but also with understanding and redefining behavioural patterns. It is a key force in developing a healthy mindset and resilience.

Emotional energy is how we feel about what is going on in our lives: our work, our relationships, ourselves, and life in general. Understanding our emotions and getting better at emotional regulation is important because our wellbeing is directly impacted by how we feel. It is possible to build positive emotions, just as it is possible to build muscles.

Spiritual energy relates to our higher “self”. The spirit can be stronger than the body. The most important spiritual “muscle” is character: doing what your intuition (i.e. values) tells you. Our beliefs and values define who we are, why we live and what we perceive to be right or wrong. Our spiritual energy makes everything else possible – it is the source of passion, fortitude and commitment.
